Isle of Man Sport is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We are committed to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for children, young people and vulnerable adults taking part in activities led by us, participating in activities using our facilities or using performance support services provided by us.

Safeguarding Education and Training

Isle of Man Sport are committed to promoting best practice and offering guidance, support and education to sports clubs and Governing Bodies of Sport (GBS) across the Island.

Isle of Man Sport organise and facilitate a coach education programme which includes UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Level 2 Welfare Officer workshops that are available throughout the year for anyone to book on and attend. Alternatively Governing Bodies of Sport or clubs can request closed workshops to their specific sport or club. For more details contact the IOM Sport Sports Liaison Officer, Louise Corkill via email (louise.corkill2@gov.im).
