Nominations for the 2022 Isle of Man Sports Awards opened on 29th December 2022 and the Manx Public are invited to select the athletes, teams and officials whom they think are worthy of being nominated for each of the 12 categories.

The 2022 Isle of Man Sports Awards will be held at the Villa Marina Royal Hall on Thursday, 30th March 2023, and nominations can be made for athletes, teams and officials who have excelled in their sport during 2022 in any of the following categories:

  • Sportsman of the Year.
  • Sportswoman of the Year.
  • IOM Sports Ambassador.
  • Under 21 Sportsman of the Year.
  • Under 21 Sportswoman of the Year.
  • Disability Sportsperson of the Year.
  • Veteran Sportsperson of the Year.
  • Sports Administrator of the Year.
  • Sports Coach of the Year.
  • Sports Team of the Year.
  • Lifetime Achievement.
  • "The Leonie Cooil Courage & Inspiration Award”

Nominees must be Manx born and have contributed to Manx sport or have resided on the Island for at least 2 years.

Nominees for the Under 21 awards, must have been under 21 years old on the 31st December 2022 to qualify.

Once again, we are offering the opportunity to submit your nominations via our online form.

however we will also accept any form of written nomination (email, official nomination form, letter etc.) providing it is received by the deadline. All nominations should include brief details of the achievements of the individual / team being nominated and why they are worthy of being considered

THE CLOSING DATE FOR NOMINATIONS IS SUNDAY, 29th JANUARY 2023

Once the closing date has passed, there will be a shortlist announced for each category and those individuals / teams will be notified in due course.
